APPEL A COMM: Islam and Sexualities Conference

Islam and Sexualities Conference - May 2, 2009, University of Chicago

The Center for the Study of Race, Politics and Culture and the Lesbian and Gay Studies Project of the Center for Gender Studies at the University of Chicago invite paper proposals for a symposium to be held on May 2, 2009. The conference keynote speakers will be Joseph Massad from Columbia University and Elyse Semerdjian from Whitman College. A selection of the conference papers will become a special issue of Social Identities: Journal for the Study of RAce, Nation, and Culture.
